The First Attempts at MPS
The first stabs most dealers took at selling managed print were only modestly successful.  In version 1.0 of managed print, most dealers bought or licensed software to collect meter readings and do assessments.  They also likely attended several training sessions to learn how to sell. 

The results were mixed.  Some dealers didn’t sell much.  Others sold a lot, but were unprepared to deal with the fulfillment.  Still others remained paralyzed, not taking action.

Managed Print Results
In early 2008, a team of industry professionals with proven sales and marketing backgrounds convened to face this issue head on.  The goal was to determine why dealers were not more successful in MPS.  Then, the goal was to address these issues with a program to drive success.  The end result:  Managed Print RESULTS.
